Description
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Grafana Alerting squad, operating at the core of the Grafana open-source project. The successful candidate will work remotely from Ireland and contribute to providing an in-depth way for users to manage their alerts.
The Grafana Alerting team works closely with customers and the Grafana Cloud teams to make Alerting work on-prem and at infinite scale in Cloud. The team's scope spans both Grafana Alerting and the SLOs product, allowing engineers to work across two deeply connected products.
Key responsibilities:
- Take an active role in influencing the roadmap and career objectives
- Work with the team to deliver new features and iterate improvements
- Drive projects from initial ideation to operations
- Embrace the open-source culture and contribute to other projects
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of services
- Mentor and support team members
Requirements:
- Motivated self-starter with a bias towards action
- Customer-focused with a passion for creating intuitive products
- Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust)
- Experience with delivering projects and developing software in the Cloud
- Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software
Compensation and benefits:
- EUR 117,600 - EUR 141,120 per year
