Description
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Grafana Alerting squad, operating at the core of the Grafana open-source project. The successful candidate will work remotely and be responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems.
The Grafana Alerting team works closely with customers and the Grafana Cloud teams to make Alerting work on-prem and at infinite scale in Cloud. The team's scope spans both Grafana Alerting and the SLOs product, allowing engineers to work across two deeply connected products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking an active role in influencing the roadmap and career objectives
- Working with the team to deliver new features and iterate on existing ones
- Driving projects from initial ideation to operations
- Embracing the open-source culture and contributing to other projects
- Designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems
- Participating in on-call rotations and taking ownership of services
- Mentoring and supporting other team members
Requirements:
- Motivated self-starter with a bias towards action
- Customer-focused with a passion for creating intuitive products
- Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust)
- Experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product
- Experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering
- Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software
Compensation & Rewards:
- In Germany, the compensation range for this role is EUR 109,709 - EUR 131,651
