Description
GDIT is looking for a Network Computer Support Technician in Rome, NY, who holds an active DOW Secret Clearance.
The role involves performing Tier 1 maintenance of on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, including preventive and corrective maintenance, and monitoring on-site and remote locations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Terminating ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP)
- Reporting failures to the on-site government contract representative
- Coordinating system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS “Comm Focal Point (CFP)”
- Monitoring on-site and remote locations
- Performing additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment
- Troubleshooting hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues
The successful candidate will have:
- An active Secret Level security clearance
- Active CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II/8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+CE, Network+)
- 3+ years of related experience
- Ability to work on-site in Rome, NY
The role requires working in a 24/7 x 365 environment, with potential for shift work and weekends. Some physical effort may be required when handling equipment.
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.83 - $34.11.
