Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Exeter, Devon, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders to their doorsteps. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, complete checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, and communicate with customers about their deliveries.
The role involves:
- Delivering groceries to customers on time and in great condition
- Completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised
- Following planned routes and driving safely in various locations
- Moving containers weighing up to 15kg and delivering shopping to a variety of properties
- Communicating with customers about their deliveries and any issues that may arise
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 points
- The ability to work flexibly, including Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- The ability to lift and move heavy objects
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
