Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders straight to their doorsteps. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised, and that customers' shopping is secure before setting off. You will follow planned routes and drive safely in a variety of locations, traffic, weather, and road conditions. You will also communicate with customers, keeping them informed of any delays, dealing with customer queries, and any changes to their order.
The role requires you to be friendly and welcoming, with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and taking pride in providing the best doorstep experience. You must be comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations and working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment. You will need to use initiative, solve problems, and make safe decisions while out on the road.

The contract type for this role is Fixed-Term Assignment, with 20 contract hours per week, and the contract end date is 01/09/2027. The availability window for this role is Wednesday to Saturday, with shifts planned within these times and shared with you three weeks in advance.
