Description
FWD Group, a leading pan-Asian life and health insurance business, is seeking an experienced Investment Portfolio Manager to drive the deployment of public asset investments across various asset classes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Driving the deployment of public asset investments in line with approved Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA), risk appetite, and portfolio guidelines
- Maintaining active dialogue with bank counterparties, asset manager partners, and market participants to source investment ideas and identify deployment opportunities
- Translating SAA and TAA decisions into actionable portfolio implementation plans
- Partnering with Group and local stakeholders to align deployment priorities with liability needs and cashflow forecasts
- Supporting execution across public markets by coordinating with external managers and internal teams
- Monitoring market conditions and portfolio positioning to support timely deployment and tactical portfolio actions
- Preparing portfolio implementation updates and investment recommendations for senior management
- Tracking and reviewing external manager activities and adherence to agreed guidelines
- Contributing to investment transformation and process improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, actuarial science, or a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in investment management, public markets, or a related finance discipline
- Solid understanding of public asset classes, including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives
- Strong execution mindset and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other investment analytics or portfolio management tools
