IOM is seeking a Project Associate to provide counselling services for migrants in Trier or Koblenz, Germany, focusing on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR).
The successful candidate will assist in planning, organizing, and delivering AVRR counselling services to migrants in several locations in Rhineland-Palatinate. This includes visiting and counselling migrants, providing information on relief offers and governmental support, and maintaining records of activities and contacts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing counselling services to migrants on AVRR and its process
- Informing migrants about relief offers, governmental support, and private services
- Maintaining records of activities and contacts
- Supporting the Programme Assistant in project reporting and monitoring
- Collaborating with other players in the sector of migration counselling in Germany
The ideal candidate has a completed high school degree or university degree in a related field, with relevant professional experience in migration or social work. Fluency in English and German is required, and knowledge of other languages such as French, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, or Arabic is an advantage.
