New Model Quality Project Leader

We are seeking a New Model Quality Project Leader to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Timmonsville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of quality strategies to meet new model goals for SXS products produced at SCM.

Job Purpose The New Model Quality Project Leader I is responsible for the development and implementation of quality strategies, to meet the new model (product) goals for SXS Products produced at SCM. Provides direct project leadership to the SCM quality related departments.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead quality related activities, including development of quality goals and targets, and support the creation and implementation of additional quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide direction and support for quality planning activities, including creation and maintenance of Specified Action Plans (SAP) to achieve project goals and targets.
• Ensure timely maturation of product specifications for new model projects, providing the quality voice and vision in planning and execution.
• Lead quality division new model project problem-solving and countermeasure activity while balancing development QCD.
• Confirm quality readiness of project preparations for new model launches, providing direction to departments as needed.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of related work experience may be substituted for education.
• 1-3 years of project leadership experience.
• Experience in PSP manufacturing quality and/or quality division functions.
• Understanding of Q-side New Model Roles and Responsibilities, SEDB functions, and new model development characteristics.
• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to positively influence and motivate team members.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Working Conditions

• Travel: Average of 12-24 times per year, depending on project demands.
• Physical: Primarily desk work, frequent keyboarding.
• Overtime: Expected based on project demands and responsibilities.
