Job Description:
You will work as a Client Agent Developer in the HPE Networking Business Unit, powered by the Aruba Networks, Juniper Networks and Axis Security portfolios. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and own core endpoint agent systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security across desktop and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and own core endpoint agent systems (Golang/C++/SWIFT), ensuring high performance, scalability, and security across desktop and mobile platforms, namely Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Linux in ZTNA and VPN environments.
- Architect and implement advanced networking and security capabilities, including secure tunnelling, TLS/encryption handling, identity-aware access control, and traffic steering.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features, aligning implementations with the organisation’s SASE/ZTNA architecture and security standards.
- Optimise and evolve existing agent and networking codebases, ensuring low latency, high availability, and consistent policy enforcement across distributed environments.
- Establish and enforce high engineering standards, including comprehensive testing, secure coding practices, and code quality improvements.
- Lead debugging and resolution of complex production issues, including low-level networking, tunnelling failures, and protocol-level problems.
- Drive observability and diagnostics improvements, including logging, telemetry, and end-to-end traffic visibility from endpoint agents to cloud services.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to design and architectural discussions, and influence technical direction for agent development and platform capabilities.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements in ZTNA, VPN technologies, and systems engineering, bringing best practices into the product to strengthen security posture and performance.
What you need to bring:
- 5-10 years of strong experience in C++ or Go application development, delivering production-grade systems.
- Proven experience building and owning client applications (desktop and/or mobile) with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong understanding of network programming and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS, and their use in distributed environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems with a focus on reliability and resilience.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, and integrating systems with CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
- Expertise in debugging complex production issues, including system-level and networking-related problems.
- Experience on AI-Driven Engineering, familiarity with usage of AI tools in development.
Benefits:
- Comprehensive suite of benefits that supports physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.
- Investment in your career through specific programs catered to helping you reach any career goals.
- Unconditionally inclusive work environment that celebrates individual uniqueness.
