Description
Spreetail is seeking a Senior Fulfillment Operations Manager to join their Away Team, a small group supporting facility launches, crisis response, and operations excellence across their fulfillment network.
This role involves leading Area Managers and FC Leads across the network, building operational mastery, and deploying where needed. You will partner with Site Directors to run day-to-day operations, own facility P&L performance, and build a bench of leaders.
How will you achieve success:
- Making Safety Non-Negotiable: Hold the safety standard at every site, assess conditions, and drive engineering and ergonomic fixes.
- Running the Building: Own facility performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and run the operation through standard work and your leadership team.
- Financial Ownership: Understand facility and network P&L, discuss controllable lines in dollars, and find and close financial bleeds.
- Network Deployment & Crisis Response: Travel to assigned and activated facilities, and lead turnarounds alongside Site Directors.
- Capacity & Labor Planning: Anticipate volume swings, plan capacity, space, and hiring, and prepare facilities for on-time shipping execution.
- Building the Bench: Develop Area Managers and FC Leads, own individual development plans, and foster a culture of growth.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with various teams to align site operations with Spreetail's supply chain strategy.
- Future FC Placement: Prepare to transition into a permanent senior operations leadership role at a new Spreetail fulfillment center.
What experiences will help you in this role:
- 5+ years in fulfillment, manufacturing, or distribution (ecommerce preferred)
- 5+ years of management experience, including leading Area Managers or other salaried leaders
- A track record of building safety-first cultures
- Proven ability to develop and promote entry-level talent
- Analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, forecasting, and scorecard and dashboard performance management
- Adaptability, comfort leading in new environments, and willingness to travel
