Description
We are seeking an Associate Designer to join our Design team at Target. As an Associate Designer, you will support the design and development of Target-owned brands across various product categories. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with design leaders, merchants, and sourcing teams to drive brand cohesion and continuity. You will be expected to maintain a diligent and self-directed approach to workload, provide accurate and timely communication to internal and external partners, and support product/trend research, trend concepts, color, and design/development of products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting product design and development with direction from design leaders to achieve overall product design strategy and merchant objectives
- Maintaining a diligent and self-directed approach to workload
- Providing accurate and timely communication to internal and external partners
- Supporting product/trend research, trend concepts, color, and design/development of products
- Assisting in preparing product specs and developing trim, print, embellishment, and hardware packages
- Translating ideas using CAD/hand sketches and completing design/technical sketches and professional presentation boards/materials for meetings and vendor partners
- Working closely with the Technical Design department to communicate fit and construction details
This role requires a four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or a similar area of study, or equivalent experience, and 1+ year of experience in a related field. You should have computer design system skills, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software.

The pay range for this position is $58,100.00 - $104,600.00, and the role is performed onsite 4 days per week from our Downtown MN HQ campus.
