Civil Inspector (Omani-National)

We are seeking a Civil Inspector with Omani nationality to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site supervision and inspection of marine works, ensuring that all construction activities meet approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, health and safety regulations, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily construction activities on marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
• Inspect works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Verify that health, safety, and environmental requirements are strictly followed on site.
• Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure that all work adheres to contractual obligations and project schedules.
• Conduct material testing verification and review test results for acceptance.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide technical input on marine works.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and remedial actions.
• Support the preparation of as-built documentation and project close-out packages.

Qualifications:

• Omani nationality with a valid civil service or professional license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in marine and coastal infrastructure inspection.
• Hands-on experience with land reclamation, breakwaters, quay walls, jetties, and port developments.
• Strong knowledge of Omani construction codes, standards, and maritime regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices on site.
• Effective communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across Oman.
