We're looking for dedicated Liability Claims Handlers to join our team. You will manage EL/PL injury and/or Third-Party Property Damage claims with flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
This technical role involves investigating policy and legal liability, settling claims for our insurer and corporate clients, and handling third-party injury and/or public liability property damage claims independently and under referral.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Investigating allegations against policyholders
- Providing detailed advice on liability
- Collating relevant information
- Identifying fraud risks
- Maintaining proactive contact with all parties
- Managing litigation where appropriate
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of databases and correspondence
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Thorough knowledge of current case law, common law/statutes, and regulations
- Insurance qualifications are desirable, but relevant experience is equally valued
- Strong team working and collaboration skills
- Good understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation
- Knowledge of contract, statute, and civil liability
- Strong investigation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with corporate clients, small businesses, insurers, and brokers
- Influencing skills to gain agreement on proposals and ideas
- Effective listening and empathetic response skills
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Motivation to provide prompt, efficient, and personalised service to both external and internal customers
