Sr. Director Product Management

Capital One Software in India is looking for senior product leadership to spearhead our foray into the next generation of Capital One Software in an AI native world.

This role involves working backwards from customers, working with product leaders to define the precise problem we are solving, and leading Engineering teams to build impactful products that delight customers.

The role encompasses recruiting, developing, and motivating an exceptional team that is drawn from elite campuses in India and abroad, and focused on our mission to develop world class data products.

In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas:

• Human Centered: You'll deeply immerse yourself in knowing your internal and/or external customer's needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions.
• Business Focused: You'll be the leader to develop a compelling portfolio or product vision for our organization to deliver capabilities that empower differentiated customer experiences and deliver breakthrough business value.
• Technology Driven: You'll partner with Technology leaders to influence end state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions that solve material customer and business problems.
• Transformational Leadership: You'll influence a broad set of senior executives across the enterprise and your organization who are stakeholders or delivery partners to successfully deliver on your portfolio/product vision.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for your area of responsibility.
• Partner with business and technology leadership to align on prioritization of key problems to be solved to maximize business and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with teams in India and USA to drive alignment with different teams working on the platform.
• Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
• Responsible for a team of directly reporting product managers.
• Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
• Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments.
• Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One's mission, and your team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• At least 16 years of experience, with a focus on product management across software engineering or machine learning products
• At least 8 years of experience in digital product management
• At least 5 years of experience in people management
• At least 5 years of experience leading multiple teams within an agile environment
• At least 3 years of experience managing other managers including talent development, performance management, team building and succession planning
