Description
You will serve as a customer-facing SAP Basis contact, providing technical guidance, status updates, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular SAP system health checks and proactively identifying performance, stability, and capacity improvement opportunities.
- Administering and supporting SAP printing infrastructure, including printer configuration, troubleshooting, spool management, and output device maintenance.
- Scheduling, monitoring, and optimizing SAP background jobs to ensure reliable business process execution.
- Implementing and validating SAP Security Notes and support package updates in accordance with security and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring SAP landscapes and managing incident, service request, and problem tickets within agreed service levels.
- Performing installation, configuration, upgrade, and patching of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, others).
- Managing SAP landscapes across Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
- Executing system copies, client copies, refreshes, updates, and upgrades activities (addon installation/update/support package stack).
- Monitoring SAP application servers, HANA databases, and operating system resources to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
- Supporting security audits and ensuring compliance with company security standards.
- Managing communication users, technical users, and service accounts.
- Troubleshooting complex SAP Basis issues across application and database.
- Analyzing and implementing recommendations from SAP EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports to improve system performance, security, and availability.
- Administering and coordinating maintenance and upgrades of SAP supported databases: MSSQL, HANA, Hana Cloud.
- Managing transport requests and coordinating software deployments across environments.
- Supporting release management and ensuring transport compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborating with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and efficient SAP operations.
- Supporting SAP GUI installation, configuration, and patch management.
- Maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base articles.
The role requires intermediate knowledge of SAP NetWeaver administration, system monitoring, performance analysis, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration activities, including installations, upgrades, patches, kernel upgrades, and transport management, is also necessary.
