Description
We are seeking a Full Time Housekeeper to join our team at Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
- Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash.
- Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
- Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and processes, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated communication skills, including differentiating colour-coded labels and/or chemicals, as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
- Professional housekeeping experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers require the ability to communicate and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment, and work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.

Schedule:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
- Availability needed: 6:30am - 3:00pm.
- Department hours of operation: 24 hours a day.
- Required: working some holidays.
