Description
We are seeking a Metrology Technician to join IQVIA Laboratories at Ithaca.
As a Metrology Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and compliant operation of laboratory equipment, with a focus on HPLC systems and LC-MS instrumentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and qualifying new laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and associated control software according to standard operating procedures
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical instruments
- Maintaining equipment life cycle documentation, calibration records, preventative maintenance programs, inventories, and supporting databases
- Troubleshooting HPLC systems and LC-MS instrumentation to minimize equipment downtime
- Coordinating vendor installation, qualification, maintenance, repair, and instrument software validation activities
- Creating and maintaining instrumentation and metrology SOPs, risk assessments, and gap analyses
- Supporting quality investigations, corrective and preventative actions, audits, business continuity activities, and functional metrics
- Training employees on standard equipment usage and providing technical guidance to junior staff and remote facilities
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in electronics or mechanical technology or closely related field
- 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment
- Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting HPLC systems and LC-MS instrumentation
- Hands-on experience calibrating, verifying, maintaining, and repairing laboratory measuring and test equipment
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

The potential base pay range for this role is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00 per year.
