Help families say the perfect goodbye to loved ones as part of our funeral service crew.
You’ll work part-time, 16 or 30 hours a week, with a variety of shifts from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and be part of the on-call rota: 1 in every 6 weeks, Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm and Saturday to Sunday, 8am-8pm.
Your tasks will include:
- Collecting the deceased from various locations and scenarios in a professional and empathetic manner
- Bearing coffins on the day of the funeral and driving funeral vehicles
- Maintaining equipment and facility cleanliness, including vehicles
- Preparing coffins and engraving name plates
- Preparing the deceased for viewings and funerals
- Managing client records daily, updating information accurately and on time
- Safely lifting, carrying, and moving coffins using proper techniques and equipment
You’ll need:
- A full UK manual driving licence
- Physical ability for manual lifting, with training provided for safe working practices
- Good IT skills and confidence in using various technology devices
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotional situations, providing sensitive customer service
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, adhering to regulatory policies and processes
