Store Manager In Training (SMIT)

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.

As a SMIT, you will participate in a 16-week self-paced, collaborative training program that includes virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop your leadership skills.

Some of the key skills required for this role include:

• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team
• Performing customer care duties to provide high levels of service
• Executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth
• Managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability

As a SMIT, you will be expected to:

• Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion
• Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies
• Engage your colleagues in support of the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health
• Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market you work in

The selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position.

Requirements for this role include:

• High School diploma or GED
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor
• Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market
• Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs

This is a full-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 40.

The typical pay range for this role is $18.50 - $26.25 per hour.
