Description
We are seeking a Transport Modeller to join our team in India.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and data analysis, with demonstrable experience in computer programming, preferably in Python and/or R.
Key responsibilities include:
- Compiling and analyzing transportation data
- Undertaking transportation studies, including complex traffic operations studies
- Conducting traffic impact studies, traffic signal and intersection improvement evaluations, and safety reviews
- Liaising with team members and preparing technical reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Urban Planning, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of equivalent work experience
- Strong oral and technical writing communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of travel demand model design and application
- Proficiency with travel demand modelling software (EMME, VISUM, TransCAD, Cube)
- Experience in meso/microscopic traffic simulations (Aimsun, VISSIM, Viswalk, DYNAMEQ, Synchro, Sidra, HCS)
- Experience with GIS and data visualization front-end development using HTML, CSS, and common web libraries and frameworks
