Description
We are seeking a Sr. Owner’s Site Representative (OSR) to join our Construction team. As a Sr. OSR, you will assist the Target Construction Project Manager with Guaranteed Maximum Review (Gmax) and ensure that contractors receive all necessary construction materials, equipment, and fixtures. You will also inspect for damage, reconcile quantities received with purchase orders, and submit reports to Target Headquarters as required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes while overseeing contractors, vendors, and installers to ensure that work is accurate, complete, and meets quality standards
- Inspect General Contractor Quality Control programs and participate in the development and management of schedules
- Manage site work and/or building construction and installation activities for projects
- Facilitate open communications with Target Properties and Store Operation teams
- Implement strategies for best methods to ensure consistency
- Mentor new OSRs and troubleshoot problem jobs as assigned
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of on-site construction management experience
- Expert ability to interpret engineering documents, evaluate construction estimates, and prepare required construction reports
- Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to implement new processes for improved productivity
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 programs
- Knowledge of construction-based project management software and smartphone/tablet applications
- Requires near 100% travel
