iCapital is looking to hire a Structured Investments and Annuities Coverage Attorney to join the Legal team.
The ideal candidate is an attorney with experience with financial products, including structured investments, as well as in-depth knowledge of the laws, rules, and regulations applicable to such products.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate complex agreements with counterparties, including structured investment and annuity product issuers, as well as financial institution users of iCapital’s web-based structured investments and annuities platform.
- Assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk with respect to product offerings and financial technology services.
- Work closely and collaborate with, and provide advice to, the Structured Investments and Annuities business teams on strategic initiatives and day-to-day matters.
- Analyze cross-border legal and regulatory requirements and provide advice to the business teams on such requirements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience within financial services
- Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules
- Member in good standing of New York Bar or another state or jurisdiction
- Law firm or in-house experience at a broker-dealer, including supporting a structured product desk, is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
- Organized and detail-oriented with big picture capabilities
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000.

Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
