Description
As an Associate at WSP, you will lead and manage the Drainage Team, overseeing engineering design work and ensuring compliance with best practices and UK regulations.
You will work closely with the UK business and the Team Leader – SWM Engineering to help with resourcing needs and the commercial side of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical assurance and managing projects and project budgets
- Helping with recruitment and team skill development
- Leading technical discussions and identifying new business opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, CDM, and quality assurance standards
- Undertaking the Principal Designer Role in large schemes
- Winning work and aligning the business to secure major opportunities
You will need to have:
- 12+ years of design and delivery experience
- A proven working knowledge of UK water design manuals and standards
- Experience in drainage design, drainage strategies, and flood risk assessments
- Strong commercial and strategic capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
