Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
- Implement platform and API solutions
- Function in different roles within the team, from architect to high-skilled software developer and technical team leader
- Have end-to-end responsibility for software services involving greater customer experiences and the platform supporting those experiences
- Lead application architecture and whiteboarding sessions to design robust systems
- Develop Spring Boot/Java APIs and microservices, leveraging both Azure and Google Cloud Platform services
- Refactor APIs and microservices for simplification and efficiency
- Develop API load and performance strategies
- Ensure all software developed adheres to clean code principles
- Mentor other software engineers in software craftsmanship
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 13 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- 10 years of experience with Java, designing and developing modular microservice architecture
- 7 years of experience with Java Spring Boot framework and designing and developing Rest API
- 5 years of experience with NoSQL and SQL database technologies and databases including MongoDB, MySQL and data modeling
- 3 years of experience with JWT token and OAuth 2.0
- 2 years of experience with configuring cloud infrastructure including Google Cloud, Azure Container App, or PCF
