Description
Asana Design is seeking a hands-on Design Leader to shape two emerging products: Asana Service Management and Command by Asana.
In this 0→1 leadership role, you will define the product design vision, partner with product, engineering, and research leadership, and personally craft experiences that drive product-market fit.
You will also represent design in strategic forums with senior and executive leadership, driving impact on company-level investments and roadmaps.
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
What you'll achieve
- Own the end-to-end design strategy and product vision for Asana Service Management and Command by Asana.
- Stay hands-on in design, balancing speed and quality.
- Integrate AI tools into the design workflow.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-leverage, globally distributed product design team.
- Partner with Experience Research to understand and validate problem spaces.
- Establish design quality bars and scalable patterns.
- Represent design in reviews and strategic discussions with senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with General Managers, Product Managers, and Engineering leads.
About you
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
- Proven track record leading product design from 0→1.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing product design teams.
- Strong systems thinker with expertise in cross-functional collaboration.
- Credible communicator with experience presenting strategic design rationale.
- Fluency with emerging AI tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with service management workflows or developer-facing products.
What we'll offer
- Estimated base salary range: $350,000 - $450,000.
