Description
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our site in Rotherham. You will be responsible for primarily electrical maintenance inspections and routine repairs within all areas of the site to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime events on critical assets.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults efficiently
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance practices
- Perform plant upgrades and modifications to the required standards
- Report work carried out through a computerized maintenance management system
- Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection
- Anticipate machine failures and make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Ensure SHEQ standards are maintained and documentation is completed
- Drive a culture of employee motivation and commitment
- Assist the maintenance department in identifying annual lifecycle requirements and preparing capital applications
- Take a proactive approach to fault finding and continuous improvement initiatives
Our Essential Requirements:
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, magnet belts, eddy current separators, and overhead cranes
- Recognised Apprenticeship, Electrical bias Multi Skilled Engineer with relevant qualifications (ONC/BTEC NVQ 3 discipline level)
- BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulation Qualifications
- Experience working on single and 3-phase AC and DC systems
- Knowledge of waste processing equipment is preferable
- Experience of FMCG type environment
