The Product Compliance & Risk (PC&R) team sits at the centre of Wise's product development function, supporting cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional compliant-by-design products for customers.
We're seeking a highly motivated, customer-centric individual to join our team to leverage their deep understanding of India regulatory requirements and expectations to launch new products, grow our presence and manage compliance risks in India.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and continuously improving products and controls: Leverage deep understanding of Wise product and regulatory requirements and risks to support new product launches.
- Regulatory and financial crime risk management: Stay ahead of trends and regulatory agenda in India, identify, assess and present risks quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Regulatory change and remediation: Conduct regulatory gap analyses, define and scope actions to remediate gaps, and ensure implementation plans are executed.
- External engagements: Represent Wise through external engagements such as audits and regulatory inspections.
Requirements:
- Expert in regulatory and financial crime compliance and risk management in India, with 10+ years experience in financial services.
- High levels of ownership and autonomy, with ability to proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Problem-solving attitude, with ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory and risk management frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with different audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills, to work effectively with different stakeholders globally.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience working directly with product and engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries.
- Legally authorised to work in India or Singapore.
