At Rocketship Public Schools, we believe in the infinite possibility of human potential. We are seeking an Associate Director of Employee Relations to serve as a central subject-matter expert for complex, sensitive, and high-risk employee relations matters across our multi-state, non-union network.
The Associate Director will conduct fair and impartial investigations, develop well-supported findings and recommendations, and help ensure employment decisions align with organizational policies, applicable employment laws, education requirements, student-safety obligations, and Rocketship's commitment to safe and equitable workplaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading neutral, timely, and comprehensive investigations into complex or high-risk matters
- Coordinating with regional legal counsels to evaluate risks involving multi-state compliance footprints
- Advising and coaching school, regional and network leadership through difficult personnel processes
- Facilitating the resolution of serious or deeply rooted workplace conflicts
- Owning Rocketship's annual mandatory training completion process
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of dedicated Employee Relations experience, including at least 3+ years managing multi-state workplace investigations, and strong working knowledge of federal employment law.
We offer a salary of USD 90,000-115,000 per year, plus excellent health and wellness benefits, 403b retirement plan, flexible spending account (FSA), and generous paid time off.
