Description
As a Sr. Advanced Services Consulting Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will primarily work from an HPE office, representing HPE customer service to the customer and vice versa.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a consultant for post-sales customer service accounts for customers, partners, and account teams
- Understanding customer lifecycles to deliver efficiency and effectiveness
- Supporting account teams with services sales and product sales activities
- Tracking and managing deliverables of HPE Premium Care, Advanced Care, and Optimization Service
- Proactively escalating and resolving critical issues
- Conducting periodic reviews with internal teams and customers to review HPE service delivery metrics, SLAs, and quality
- Using professional knowledge to review and assess open software defects and develop mitigation plans
- Delivering proactive consulting services such as technical analysis and recommendations
- Partnering with customers to conduct periodic HPE product health checks and making recommendations to optimize operational performance
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A deep understanding of core IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, QoS, VLAN, STP, IPSEC, NAT, IPv6)
- Reasonable expertise in Layer2 and Layer3 protocols such as VRRP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, MPLS VPN
- Knowledge and experience of newer technologies such as Segment Routing, Traffic engineering, DC switching, VxLAN, EVPN, SD-WAN & Wireless
- Experience working in large enterprises or network service providers
- Experience and desire to work on automation
- Amiable communication, interpersonal, and social skills
- HPE Juniper /Aruba/ Edge Connect product certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or industry equivalents
We generally prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. A Business degree such as an MBA would be an advantage. You should have 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and solving technical problems in state-of-the-art datacenter and IP/MPLS networks.
