Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java Full stack with AI to join their B&MI Technology development team. The team focuses on developing business solutions using innovative technologies to keep Mastercard positioned as a leader in delivering value-added business analytic and reporting solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the technical lead in overall architecture, design, and producing high-quality code using different languages. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in gathering business requirements
- Ensuring software designs align with Mastercard's Enterprise Architecture and leveraging enterprise services
- Ensuring product development meets Mastercard's business needs
- Ensuring development teams use Mastercard's standard development methodologies and follow technology standards
- Ensuring software and system design and delivery support the goal of zero downtime in production
- Working closely with business partners on product definition, product roadmaps, business case development, and overall direction for the team
- Responding to operational and business concerns or issues relative to future business programs, projects, or enhancements
- Ensuring development supports all appropriate certifications and compliance requirements
- Performing performance engineering of the enterprise software architecture
- Designing, developing, testing, delivering, and monitoring scalable and secure cloud architectures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience with 7+ years of industry experience
- Strong experience in Full Stack Java development using J2EE, Java 8 or higher, JSP, Servlets, Spring 5, Hibernate, and backend service development
- Proven expertise in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/RESTful APIs) and developing scalable, high-performance applications
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience working with frontend technologies such as React or Angular, along with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
- Hands-on experience with application servers, development environments, and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to cloud-native application development using platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI-powered development tools
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
