Description

The Digital Implementation Manager (Primary Care EPR Migration) will lead the delivery of a significant portfolio of primary care electronic patient record (EPR) migration programmes across South East London and other London Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).

The postholder will oversee implementation planning, readiness assessments, data migration, testing, training, cutover, go-live and post-implementation support, ensuring safe, coordinated and effective delivery across multiple GP practices and deployment waves.

Travel across South East London boroughs and to GP practices and other relevant sites will be required.

The role will focus on leading the implementation of primary care EPR systems, translating programme strategy into integrated delivery plans and ensuring that implementation activity meets agreed standards for quality, safety, governance and delivery.

The postholder will manage complex risks, issues, dependencies, resources and supplier performance, providing senior implementation leadership and assurance throughout the migration process. They will coordinate readiness reviews, testing, training, cutover, go-live and hypercare, ensuring continuity of primary care services and the safe adoption of new digital systems.

Working collaboratively with GP practices, clinical and operational teams, digital transformation leads, suppliers, technical specialists and London-wide and national partners, the postholder will support interoperability, consistent implementation approaches and the achievement of measurable programme benefits.

The Digital Implementation Manager will provide senior leadership for a portfolio of primary care EPR implementations across South East London and other London ICBs. • Monitoring supplier performance, milestones, deliverables, expenditure and value for money.
  • Establishing robust programme controls, maintaining accurate documentation and providing progress reports, dashboards, exception reports and assurance updates to senior governance forums.
  • Developing effective working relationships with GP partners, practice managers, Primary Care Networks, clinical leaders, operational teams, suppliers and system partners.
  • Leading implementation meetings, workshops and readiness reviews, resolving complex issues and securing agreement across organisations.
  • Working with London-wide and national technical teams to support the timely delivery of system integrations and interoperability requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant information governance, data protection, cyber security, clinical safety and records management requirements.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to implementation teams and multidisciplinary colleagues, promoting accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Capturing lessons learned and contributing to implementation standards, guidance, evaluation and benefits tracking.
  • Monitoring programme funding and supporting reporting requirements relating to funding provided by NHS England.
