Senior Design Engineer - Vehicle Systems

The Vehicle Systems Department at Multimatic Technical Centre (MTC) is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with skills in complex systems integration and full vehicle system development.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will conduct comprehensive systems integration trade-off studies to meet system requirements, negotiate with stakeholders on requirements and trade-offs, and derive and manage subsystem requirements based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct calculations to ensure systems are robust against noise factors
• Recommend and lead component and vehicle level testing to verify and validate systems
• Select appropriate manufacturing processes for parts
• Design in 3D using CATIA or NX, and draft manufacturing prints in 2D
• Participate in prototype builds and review progress
• Disseminate knowledge to other team members
• Work with a complex international team

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of directly relevant work experience
• College or university degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• High degree of competence in GD&T
• Knowledge in rotating machinery
• Strong knowledge in solid mechanics and dynamics
• Expert knowledge in either NX or CATIA
• Proven track record of being able to perform under pressure
• History of leadership

Preferred Skills:

• Project management experience
• MATLAB and Simulink experience
• Expert knowledge in rotating machinery
• Extensive experience in Multiphysics FEA
• Experience with additive manufacturing and composites
• Experience in a motorsports setting
