Description
As a Senior Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, you will serve as a subject matter expert for HPE products in data center networking technologies. Your responsibilities will include supporting customers with network design, troubleshooting, hardware and software testing, documentation, best practices, and automation. You will work with customers on Service Provider and Data Center architecture, design, deployment, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex production issues across various technologies, analyze configurations, logs, traffic flows, and network behavior to identify root causes and provide corrective actions. You will also provide technical guidance on Segment Routing, MPLS, spine-leaf architectures, EVPN-VXLAN, underlay/overlay networks, DCI, and network resiliency.
You will work closely with Juniper SE, Engineering, Product Management, and JTAC to resolve complex technical issues and drive customer requirements. You will validate designs, MOPs, software releases, and new features in lab environments before production deployment. You will support Data Center migrations, upgrades, fabric expansion, and implementation activities. You will conduct technical workshops and provide best-practice recommendations for network optimization and operational improvements. You will maintain network design and operational documentation and provide proactive guidance on software, security, and lifecycle considerations. You will identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved network performance/reliability.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 14+ years of relevant network experience, including Service Provider and large-scale Data Center environments. You should have strong knowledge of MPLS, Segment routing, EVPN-VXLAN, and Data Center spine-leaf architectures. You should also have experience troubleshooting complex Data Center production networks and performing RCA, as well as experience with Data Center migration, upgrades, and fabric deployments.
