Description
The London Borough of Sutton is seeking a Facilities and Projects Building Surveyor to join their Programme & Project Management Section within the Assets Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of capital programs and minor to intermediate projects, acting as an intelligent client and fulfilling the key duties of Building Surveyor, Project Manager, and Contract Administrator.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking sole responsibility for making major decisions or changes affecting the successful project outcome
- Specifying, tendering, and delivering projects or working in partnership with consultants and contractors
- Preparing tenders and procuring them via OJEU procedures, frameworks, or open market tendering
- Preparing scheme briefs, specifications, drawings, schedules of work, and contract documents
- Providing core Building Surveying services, acting as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent, and chairing meetings
The ideal candidate will have a relevant professional qualification (RICS - MRICS) and excellent communication and reporting skills.

The salary for this role is GBP 50,676 - 61,476 per year.
