Description
We are seeking a Reactor Safety Engineer to join our team at Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, a major electricity producer in Sweden. As part of Vattenfall, you will contribute to our goal of achieving fossil fuel freedom.
In this role, you will primarily work with process and safety analysis, development and management of calculation models, and reactor safety issues. You will be part of a diverse team with an inclusive and helpful culture.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various types of safety analyses and interpret results
- Develop, maintain, and quality-assure calculation models and analysis tools
- Perform thermo-hydraulic analyses of process systems
- Apply and evaluate requirements and standards
- Coordinate and participate in the development and maintenance of plant safety documentation
- Provide support on reactor safety issues
- Work on projects as technical support
- Be responsible for process and safety analysis-related cases and assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience in nuclear power technology and reactor safety is a plus
- Familiarity with process and safety analysis or similar tasks within the nuclear industry is beneficial
- Analytical, structured, and quality-conscious mindset
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Swedish and English
