Description
We are seeking an experienced Unit Manager for Mechanics, Process, and Construction Technology at our Forsmark nuclear power plant in Sweden.
As a Unit Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 70 employees and multiple full-time hired consultants across six groups. Your responsibilities will include mechanics, process technology, construction technology, technical documentation, strength issues, and quality control.
Your main objectives will be:
- Develop the unit to meet the needs of multiple projects and increased technical resources
- Plan long-term competence, staffing, and economy
- Improve the design process through clearer requirements and efficient workflows
- Develop managers, employees, and future leaders
- Strengthen collaboration between technical areas and with operations within production, maintenance, and projects
- Further develop cross-functional design teams based on project needs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a manager and contributing to a leadership group
- Experience in mechanical engineering, process technology, construction technology, or technical design
- Experience in developing organizations, workflows, or businesses
- Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English
It is advantageous if you have experience in nuclear power or other safety- and regulation-driven industries, as well as experience in leading other managers.
