Senior Supplier Development Engineer (R5487)

Shield AI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Development Engineer to join their team, focusing on harness assemblies and electronic components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier development and supply chain management within the aerospace industry. This role is critical in enhancing supplier performance by solving supplier challenges that impact quality, on-time delivery, and scaling, supporting the onboarding of suppliers to new designs, and delivering on the mission to deliver affordable and autonomous mass at scale.

Required Qualifications:

• A degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience leading new-product industrialization and project management across engineering teams and contract manufacturers.
• Strong working knowledge of wire harness and FPC/FFC assembly processes, including design rules for reliable production.
• Practical experience with PPAP and structured problem-solving tools, including RCCA, fishbone analysis, process mapping, and 5S.
• Direct experience improving supplier or contract-manufacturer quality, process capability, capacity, or production execution.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 50% to engage suppliers.
