Description
We are seeking a Director, IT Portfolio & Finance Management to join our team in Hong Kong.
As a Director, IT Portfolio & Finance Management, you will identify synergies between IT projects to optimise project costs and drive IT run costs to stay flat with business growth. You will also identify sustainable savings with IT projects that transform the way we work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all IT project managers and drive adherence to the project management framework to ensure consistency in project execution and reporting.
- Drive projects to focus on business value delivered instead of fixed project scope, time, and cost.
- Reuse or combine project tasks and deliverables to ensure synergy among projects for cost and time savings.
- Ensure all IT projects targeted at enabling business growth have minimal or no incremental run costs with business growth.
- Ensure all IT projects targeted at transforming the tech stack or the way we work result in sustainable reductions in run costs.
- Define, track, and communicate business outcome targets to senior stakeholders.
- Coach and manage all IT project managers to deliver standardised execution and reporting with project synergy.
- Monitor and track external vendors' financials, especially during renewal.
Decision-Making:
- Decide on project priorities based on project dependencies, synergy between projects, and business priorities.
- Make decisions to find a balance between savings, synergy, business priority, and time-to-market.
Qualifications:
- University graduate or above with a preference for Computer Science or Information Security-related fields.
- At least 8-10 years of working experience in information technology roles focusing on IT transformation, Project Portfolio Management, and IT Finance Management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical outcomes into business terms easily understood by senior management.
