Description
WSP India is seeking a CAD Technician - Piping for its CA ERI team in Bengaluru. The successful candidate will contribute to Power, Mining Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, and Water treatment projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings, including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings using CADWorx, Autodesk Plant 3D, and SP3D software.
- Ensure compliance with WSP CAD standards and client specifications.
- Read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD or Piping ISO drawings and models.
- Create and modify detailed engineering drawings using 2D AutoCAD.
- Develop PFDs, PIDs, and 3D models for Power projects.
- Coordinate with design teams and Canadian lead office as necessary.
- Review drawings for compliance with client drafting standards.
- Manage CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer.
- Ensure drawings are issued and filed according to WSP QA process.
- Provide regular work status updates.
- Embed Health & Safety into all work practices.
- Stay updated with developments in Drafting skills.
- Support the company's approach to sustainability.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Piping Modelling and 2D drafting.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or relevant field.
- Proficiency in CADWorx Plant Professional, Autodesk Plant 3D, SP3D, and AutoCAD.
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a LEAN environment.
- Familiarity with international standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Power, Oil & Gas, Mining, or Water treatment projects.
- Knowledge of Navisworks, SPR, and BIM 360.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
