Description
We are seeking a Specimen Management Associate to join our team at IQVIA Laboratories, a global leader in drug discovery and development.
As a Specimen Management Associate, you will be responsible for accessioning, shipment, and storage of samples, as well as problem resolution, ensuring all samples are accurately identified, sorted, and labeled for testing and/or storage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accessioning, shipping, and storing samples
- Maintaining freezer and inventory records
- Identifying and escalating errors or potential problems
- Guiding entry-level staff on basic department procedures
- Supporting after-hour alarms and other critical functions
- Handling receipt of compounds and control materials
- Supporting safety, quality, and 6S requirements
- Notifying staff of supply shortages
- Communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Participating in continuing education and training
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6 months of related experience in a warehouse environment
- Basic knowledge of internal systems and procedures
- Good working knowledge of relevant procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail
