Description
We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Richmond Village Northampton, a luxury retirement living community. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Catering to residents across the Village, including the care home, serviced suites, and villagers who have booked a meal in the Restaurant/Spa or for meals to be taken across to their apartments or for other specific events
- Preparing and cooking food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
- Being aware of residents', villagers', and Wellness Spa clients' dietary needs and responding to their comments and requests in respect of the menu
- Being involved in the preparation and serving of the meals on the hotplate, as required
- Ensuring that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable (high-risk) goods
- Ensuring a welcoming, safe, and compliant environment for our residents to dine in
- Helping to maintain a clean and hygienic working area
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements. An understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally with an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or Equivalent, is also required.
