HAL - Beverage Runner - CSSI

As a Beverage Runner at Holland America Group, you will be responsible for providing courteous and professional service to guests and fellow team members while striving to meet and exceed revenue goals.

You will assist Bartenders, Servers, and Dining team members in preparing and serving quality beverages according to recipes and standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting beverage and dining teams in various aspects of beverage and dining operations
• Running beverages in all dining and specialty restaurant outlets
• Providing deck service, including clearing open decks, setting up bar areas, and supporting events
• Promoting special cocktails, daily cocktails, and special events
• Serving appetizers and beverages in bars and lounges
• Garnishing beverages and delivering orders promptly
• Responding to changes in the Beverage Department
• Reporting to bartender/Beverage Management
• Carrying out reasonable assignments from Bartender and Beverage Management
• Possessing basic product knowledge of beverage offerings and mixology
• Anticipating guest needs and ensuring they are met
• Greeting and welcoming guests
• Maintaining deck furniture and reporting maintenance issues
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintaining professional interpersonal skills
• Following sanitation guidelines and safety procedures
• Participating in training and meetings

Requirements:

• Completed at least one contract of HAL shipboard experience in hotel or galley background (for internal candidates)
• Passion for beverages and past experience in food and beverage service preferred
• Excellent command of English
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment
• Basic knowledge of beverage handling procedures and public health standards
• Ability to train and guide waiting staff
• Excellent appearance and self-starter
