Description
GDIT supports the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. The NSSC mission is to provide timely, accurate, high-quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused support for selected NASA business and technical services.
As a ServiceNow Developer at GDIT, you will contribute to providing IT development services to the NSSC and NASA. The role involves recommending solutions to automate existing and new functionality, activating and configuring ServiceNow applications, developing workflows and scripts, and creating custom applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recommending best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on ServiceNow offered applications and modules.
- Activating and configuring ServiceNow applications to meet business needs.
- Developing workflows and scripts to personalize existing ServiceNow applications.
- Creating ServiceNow custom applications from inception to completion to automate and improve processes.
- Collaborating with customers to research, design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to improve their business processes.
- Identifying best practices for development of new and existing ServiceNow applications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to software applications, systems integration, and multiple platforms.
- Planning system and development deployment, and ensuring software compliance standards are met.
- Evaluating interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall systems.
- Documenting testing and maintenance of system corrections.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and 4 years of software development experience with specific ServiceNow development experience.
Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification, experience with ServiceNow workflow development, client and server-side scripting, and experience with various ServiceNow modules.
