Description
Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Developer Workspaces team. The team runs the computers Slack engineers write code on, and more and more, the ones AI agents write code on. The ideal candidate will have experience building and operating production systems, and be able to scale the AI sandbox fleet, harden isolation between agents and sandboxes, and build observability to make decisions.
Responsibilities
- Scale the AI sandbox fleet into something the whole company depends on
- Harden the isolation between agents, sandboxes and the rest of Slack
- Run and improve the remote dev environments our engineers use every day
- Build observability to make decisions with - SLOs, dashboards, and logs
- Join the weekly on-call rotation once ramped up
- Use AI agents heavily in your own work
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and operating production systems
- Experience with infrastructure, SRE, DevOps or platform engineering
- Strong knowledge of AWS - EC2, networking, IAM
- Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools
- Solid code writing skills in Go or Python
- Experience with AI coding tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with Firecracker, KVM, or other virtualization
- Experience running Kubernetes in production
- Security background: VM or container isolation, vulnerability management, threat modeling
- Comfortable with Linux internals and networking
- Experience working on a developer productivity or platform team
