Description
We are hiring for a Transport Specialist role at TaskUs in Cairo, Egypt.
The Transport Specialist will manage all processes, operations, and schedules of vendors, develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for fleet operations, and monitor and analyze costs associated with the fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all processes, operations, and schedules of vendors
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for fleet operations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and manage fleet costs, including costs of security uses and other relevant costs
- Monitor and analyze costs associated with the fleet, including fuel consumption, maintenance, and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Ensure that all vehicles are in good working order and meet safety and environmental standards
- Oversee drivers, ensuring they have necessary training and are aware of company policies and procedures, and adhere to safe driving practices
- Monitor vehicle usage and performance to optimize resource use and identify areas for improvement in cost and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all applicable insurance and legal requirements
- Develop and maintain accurate records of fleet operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the fleet meets business needs while staying within budget and cost targets
- Track vehicles using functional systems
- Coordinate with teams and vendors to ensure proper distribution of routes
- Share regular updates with Egypt management on transport status and incident management
- Ensure necessary steps are taken for prevention of accidents
- Research and suggest cost-effective transit methods
- Conduct regular safety audits on vehicles and equipment
- Organize training sessions for employees
- Stay up-to-date with safety regulations and local law and compliances
Requirements and skills:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the fleet management field or a related industry
- Great verbal and written communication in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost control
- Proficient in the use of fleet management software and other relevant technology
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Bachelor's degree in any stream or related field
