We are seeking a Mining Project Director to lead and oversee large-scale and complex geotechnical investigation projects in the mining sector. As a technical leader, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact results for our clients.
Job Summary You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Your expertise in mining geotechnics will help shape the future of the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administrative and financial aspects of multiple large-scale projects
- Plan, organize, and direct complex geotechnical campaigns in the mining sector
- Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
- Prepare, revise, and approve technical service offers
- Provide high-level technical leadership for major geotechnical projects
- Foster collaboration and synergy within multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in geotechnical investigation programs and advanced geotechnical analysis
- Write and revise technical reports, notes, and opinions
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Understand technical issues to propose adapted solutions
- Present and communicate technical results and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or Geological Engineering
- Advanced studies in Geotechnics, Mining, or Dams (an asset)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnics, ideally in the mining sector
- Excellent French communication skills; English proficiency (an asset)
- Member of the OIQ
- ASP Construction card
- Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel
