Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Rotational Pharmacy Assistant at Royal Brompton Hospital. This role provides a professional, efficient, and customer-focused service, rotating between Dispensary, Homecare, Purchasing, and Distribution.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work to a high standard within the team or on their own initiative. The role involves accurate dispensing of prescriptions, interacting with staff and patients, and responding to telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Rotating through Dispensary, Homecare, Purchasing, and Distribution, providing support to Pharmacy at Royal Brompton Hospital
- Accurate dispensing of prescriptions for in-patients and outpatients
- Interacting with staff and patients, and responding to telephone and face-to-face enquiries
- Participating in ward and department topping up and ensuring appropriate stock rotation
- Processing homecare invoices using the Epic homecare module
- Filing and saving documents to patient records
- Collecting data and producing invoices for private patient medication
- Assisting in the coordination of the day-to-day administration in the Pharmacy Homecare Hub and Income Team
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Ordering stock from suppliers and processing invoices from suppliers

- Band 3 salary: £31,554 to £33,270 per annum

Requirements:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to a high standard within a team or on own initiative
- Proficient in the use of pharmacy computer systems, including Epic
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
