Description
Priory Hospital Nelson House in Gosport, Hampshire, has an opportunity for a Head of Facilities to join our team. The hospital offers level 1 and level 2 care for males with mental health conditions and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge and substance misuse issues.
As the successful candidate, you will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hospital, including Estates and Facilities, and directly line manage the Housekeeping, Administration, Medical Secretaries, Maintenance, Reception, and Catering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing cover and support to the wider team and site as needed
- Playing an active role as a member of the Hospital Senior Management Team
- Delivering a high level of customer service with a professional and solutions-focused approach
- Managing budgets and finances, with a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Essential skills and qualifications for the role include:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience of direct line management, ideally at a senior management level
- Experience working within Healthcare or Hospitality in a similar operational role
- Strong project management experience with relevant qualification
- Experience of budget management and financial responsibility
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification

The salary for this role is £36,000 per annum, with a 37.5-hour working week.
