Description
We are seeking an associate to join the TMIC practice in Hong Kong, focusing on intellectual property.
You will advise clients across the lifecycle of their IP matters, from trademark clearance, filing and portfolio management through to enforcement, disputes and commercialization.
The role involves coordinating regional and international portfolios and working collaboratively with colleagues across the Greater China and international practice.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Conduct trademark clearance, filing, prosecution and portfolio management
- Handle trademark oppositions, invalidations, revocation actions and hearings
- Manage IP enforcement and anti-counterfeiting matters
- Work on copyright, design and domain name matters
- Handle IP disputes and litigation
- Assist with commercialization, licensing and assignment arrangements
- Coordinate regional and international IP portfolios
About You
- Hong Kong qualified solicitor (or eligible for admission in Hong Kong)
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience in a reputable law firm
- Excellent English drafting and communication skills
- Working proficiency in Chinese, including both Mandarin and Cantonese
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines matters
- Commercially minded and client-focused approach
