Description
We are seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our team in Milano. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on large-cap M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance origination and execution assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Work on complex projects for leading Italian, European, and global clients
- Contribute to the development of new ideas to help clients achieve their strategic and financial objectives
- Conduct detailed valuation analysis and other financial analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO analysis, and transaction structuring
- Project management and involvement in execution of live transactions and pitches
- Attend team discussions and client meetings and deliver parts of presentations
- Interact with various sectors and product teams across the bank, both locally and abroad
- Support senior bankers in origination and coverage efforts
- Contribute positively to franchise building activities
- Engage in regional networking and Talent Development offerings
Requirements:
- Excellent academic record (e.g. First-Class Honours, or equivalent) supported by a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar fields
- Extensive relevant full-time experience in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity
- Proven technical skills including financial modelling, financial analysis, and understanding of valuation methodologies, with high level of attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent in English and Italian
- Strong proficiency with financial analytics software and Microsoft suite of products
- Commercial instinct, demonstrable passion for finance and capital markets with an affinity for numbers
- Results-driven, perform well under pressure, and against tight deadlines
- Team players with ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities and contribute to the success of the franchise
